Alastair returns to the wonderful surroundings of the Canongate Kirk for his annual celebration of the Scottish fiddle tradition. He will be joined by regular collaborators Euan Drysdale on guitar/piano, Iain Crawford on double bass as well as special guests from the folk music world. The concert will feature melodies from the great fiddle composers of centuries past including; Niel Gow, William Marshall and James Scott Skinner alongside Alastair's own compositions, offering a unique blend of styles and influences. This promises to be an invigorating journey of Scotland's fiddle heritage, ancient and modern.
