Cellist Feargus Egan is accompanied by David Hamilton in this programme, featuring two outstanding works for cello and piano from World War I: Delius’ Cello Sonata (1916) and the Sonata by Frank Bridge (1917). Schumann’s ever popular 5 Stücke im Volkston (1849) represents the high-Romantic and the concert also includes Claire Griffin's beautiful Nox (2004).
